Kaustinen for kids

Children in Kaustinen
includes the Children's Tent, which is full of activities every day, and the Children's Play Tent, which is located under the Children's Tent. Both tents have programmes for children of all ages, and the Children's Kaustinen also caters for adults, both mums and grandmas. For the last hour of each day, anyone can sign up to perform when the stage is free.

You can participate in the activities in the Play Tent and Children's Tent together with an adult, but children are also welcome to come on their own, under the responsibility of their own adult.

When you arrive at the festival, check out the Wooden Tent as a meeting point. If a child is lost in their own adult or vice versa, head straight for this tent. If you wish, you can ask for a contact information sticker to be attached to your clothing in the Tree Tent.

In the evening, the age limit in the licensed areas is 18 years. Otherwise, children can be accompanied by parents in the licensed areas. Most venues have an age-restricted area for under-18s.

Nursery can be found at the primary school. There, the youngest members of the family can play on the floor while the family can rest for a while. There is a nappy-changing facility and the possibility to heat up food. The information points are located in the music school and in the playground. In addition, staff and stewards are always on hand to help if needed. The staff can be identified by the ”Töisä” logo on their shirts. First aid is available at the secondary school, and there is also a first aid team on tour in the area.

There is a water bottle filling point in the area.

There are several shops, restaurants and other services such as a pharmacy in the vicinity of the party area. The area is easy and safe to move around with children and prams. The area is accessible and distances are relatively short. In addition, there is shelter from the sun and rain. Dogs are also welcome in the area, except in the restaurant areas.

The parking spaces are all within walking distance and have traffic management. The festival area is also accessible by festival bus from Kokkola and Veteli. The festival bus stop is right next to the main gate of the area.

A warm welcome to the Kaustinen Folk Music Festival with the whole family!
