Around 2,500 players took part in next summer's festival's player search, which closed at the end of March. More than half of them also registered for the virtual event. Group contacts will be informed by email of their acceptance during May.
In June, a new enrolment for the VirtualCaustis programme will open. Videos should be fairly recent, preferably made for the VirtuaaliKaustinen 2021 programme. Participation is done by sending a YouTube link. The format is free.
- Videos would be fun to see interesting environments such as a kitchen, living room, backyard, dairy barn or different places in nature. The theme of the festival is polka, so of course we are also looking for polka-themed videos and presentations. It would warm my own heart to see as much dancing as possible, even just little bits and pieces, programme producer Paula Fox tells you.
- It is also possible that there will be a further call for applications in June. Please keep an eye on the festival's website On Facebook, On Instagram and On Twitter.
The players keep in touch In the My Kaustinen group on Facebook. On the first Saturday of every month, there is a live broadcast to rehearse songs for next summer's big concert. The first practice song of Easter has already been viewed almost 8000 times in less than a week.
