The Kaustinen Folk Music Festival is set to get off to a running, playing and dancing start for the third time with a tour of Crete. This time, the tour will kick off on the opening day on Monday 10.7.2017.

There's a series to suit all tastes and the prizes are just the best! Yes - the prizes? There are gym cards and bottle cranes, weekly and daily tickets to festivals, a year's edition of our beloved local newspaper, Perhonjokilaakso, and more! In the children's category, our partner Avain Säästöpankki will donate a fabulous prize for each runner.

Best of all, half of the entry fee will be donated to a cause of the participants' choice! For the first tour of Crete in 2015, the MLL Kaustinen Association was chosen as the destination and donated sports equipment for the children. In 2016, the donation went to Näppäre to support music for children and young people.
