The Kaustinen Folk Music Festival will be celebrated for the 50th time this summer, from 10 to 16 July 2017. The anniversary will be celebrated with parties and party traditions. At the end of the week, the festivals will be buzzing with the best of the festivals, modern traditional weddings! Couples who want to get married in the festival spirit are now being sought.
During the festival week, the customs and traditions associated with the crown wedding will be presented over three days. There will also be plenty of modernised content. The wedding celebrations and the preparations leading up to it will be planned from start to finish together with the couples. The wedding itself will take place in the festival arena, where the ceremony will also take place - if the couple wishes a private ceremony, the ceremony part of the arena will be narrative.
Everyone is invited to this wedding! The wedding party is built personally with the couple/couples. The officiant can be either a priest or a judge, and if several couples apply, the celebration is shared by all.
