The Kaustinen Folk Music Festival will be celebrated for the 50th time in July. You can get into the festival mood well in advance, when Kaustinen's mood clubs visit Tampere, Kokkola and Oulu during the spring.
Most of the performers in the clubs organised in cooperation with local folk music associations can also be seen at the Kaustinen Folk Music Festival on 11-16 July.This spring's clubs will kick off from Tampere on 9 March at the Telakka Restaurant, when Gondoli-Tero and Luonnos will perform at the Folk Music Club. On 10 April, we head to Kokkola's Corner's Pub, where the stage will be taken over by Tötterssön, those cheeky heroes of roskafolk, at Truba ry's Rautawaara club. The much-loved Tallari band will also be there with their mouth-watering cuplet show. The club series will conclude with a stop at the Hämy festival in Oulu, restaurant Katrill on Sat 6.5.
