For the 2017 Kaustinen Folk Music Festival showcase series, we are again looking for three groups of performers, solo artists or folk dance groups.
Depending on the composition, the Showcase concerts will be held at larger venues (Keskipohjanmaa Arena, Café Mondo, Kallioklubi, Kaustinen Hall) with sound systems and/or smaller, more intimate concert venues (Pelimannitalo, Iholla Hall) without sound systems and with acoustic sound. Each performer selected for the showcase series will be offered two seats at the party. In addition, the showcases will be given wide visibility in the marketing and communication of the Folk Music Festival (print materials, web, press conferences during the festival week).
Performers selected for the Showcase series are not paid for their performances and travel costs are at their own risk. Performers will be provided with meals on the days of their performance and will have the opportunity to stay overnight in the festival's shared accommodation free of charge. Performers will also receive a festival pass valid for the duration of the festival.

Kaustinen Folk Music Festival will be held for the 50th time on 10.-16.7.2017.
