Kaustinen Folk Music Festival has been nominated in the Festival of the Year category of the Industry Awards organised by Music X Media.
The nomination is a significant recognition for one of the biggest folk music and dance festivals in Finland and Northern Europe, which brings together thousands of performers and tens of thousands of visitors every year.
“It is a pleasure to see folk music and the community festival experience recognised in this way at a national gala. The nomination is a thank you to everyone who makes Kaustinen possible, from the performers to the volunteers to the audience,” says Anne-Mari Hakamäki, the festival's programme director.
The prizes will be awarded at the Music X Media gala on 26 September 2025.
