KAUSTINEN FOLK MUSIC FESTIVAL TO A GOOD RESULT
The Kaustinen Folk Music Festival made a surplus in 2014. Pro Kaustinen ry, the organiser of the festival, made a profit of €12,000.
The total budget for the party was €762 000. The surplus is the result of tight spending discipline in 2014 and successful savings measures. The financial planning for the 2015 celebrations will continue with austerity and resources will be directed towards increasing the share of the programme budget.
All eyes are already on next summer, when the theme of the 48th edition of the festival will be folk song. The band of the year, the artists of the showcase series and other first programme information will be announced on 9-10 January 2015 at the Folklandia cruise and on the Folk Music Festival website www.kaustinen.net.
