PERRIAN TYSSES

Now we are stuck in Perri. I don't know where my house is. Between Silivola and Tihviinmäki. When I was a kid, we've been there, too. We've been over almost every rock and stump. We played with the calves and we used to slide around the cows in the pasture. The Tinkimaetans think someone's neck was broken when we sang in the barn. And then the pine trees in the yard were all blown away. By the way, they look pretty good from Perriinmäki!

We were introduced to folk music already at primary school age in Anttola Village Players under the guidance of Oltermanni Kaarlo Salmela. Kalle's example led us to become folk music professionals. Our music incorporates nature, history and the present day. We take our influences from relatives, neighbours and even from the most distant peoples, without forgetting joy, playfulness and sometimes seriousness.
