Festival bus

The festival bus takes you directly to Kaustinen. You can also get on board by waving your hand along the route.

The bus service provides easy access from Kokkola's central accommodation, bus station or train station directly to Pelimannitor and back every couple of hours.

Kaustinen has two local transport routes, which pass through villages and several accommodation facilities to the festival area.

By bus

Transport links: By bus The festival bus stop is located at Pelimannitor, in the heart of the festival area. You can get to Kaustinen by both the Festival Bus and Matkahuolto's standard bus services. See Matkahuolto's website for timetables of regular long-distance buses. The Matkahuolto stop is located behind the Teboil petrol station in Kaustinen. The festival bus runs from Kokkola to Kaustinen every couple of hours. You can find the timetables during the festival here>

 

By train

By train From Kaustinen, the nearest train station is located in Kokkola (about 45 km away). Train timetables can be found on the VR website. The bus from Kokkola to Kaustinen leaves from near the railway station. The bus station is located about a block from the railway station. There is also a bus stop on the road in front of the railway station, where regular services stop.

 

By air

By air The nearest airport to Kaustinen is Kokkola-Pietarsaari Airport in Kruunupys. The distance from Kaustinen airport is about 35 km.

With your own car

Kaustinen is situated at the intersection of highways 13 and 63.From the centre of Kaustinen, signposts will direct you to the festival area.

 

Parking

There are several free parking areas for festival visitors in the vicinity of the festival, with signage directing you to the parking spaces. The parking areas are marked P1-P5, and traffic controllers will guide you to the right places. Camping is prohibited in parking areas.
