Last year, for the first time, the Better Divided concept will be continued and the call for folk dance groups is open.
The central idea behind the Better Shared! concept is to enable folk dance groups to experience performing with live music and to ignite and strengthen the spark for dance. In 2022, the Better Divided! concept brought together Centria Folk from Kokkola and Pähiät from Oulu, Rällän from Oulu, folk dance group Keiku from Lappeenranta and folk dance group m:t from Koski Tl.

Folk dance groups that do not have their own accompaniment and are willing to jump into a collaboration with musicians can apply. To be eligible, the programme must be an existing ensemble, with the possibility of changing and, if necessary, adapting the songs to suit the composition of the "Better Together" ensemble.
