Festival bus
The festival bus takes you directly to Kaustinen. You can also get on board by waving your hand along the route.
You can easily reach Pelimannitori and return by bus from the central accommodation sites in Kokkola, the bus station or the train station every couple of hours. The bus runs every couple of hours from Monday to Saturday. On Sunday mornings, the bus operates two services from accommodation destinations to Pelimannitori and onwards to Kokkola.
Festival bus Kokkola–Kaustinen €8/way. Tickets can be purchased from the driver and at Matkahuolto.fi. Delivery charges will be added to the price in the online shop.

Traffic starts on Monday 13.7 at 09.00. and ends on Sunday morning, 19 July, at 03:55.
*Bold shift only on the night between Friday-Saturday and Saturday-Sunday.
Additionally, one Kokkola-Kaustinen service will run on the Sunday before the festival, 12.7.2026 at 16:15. Arrival at Pelimannitori at 17:00.

Kaustinen local transport
Local transport in Kaustinen has three routes that go through villages and several accommodation sites to the festival area. Local transport runs from Monday to Saturday, and there are two services on Sunday morning that go to Pelimannitori and from there on to Kokkola.

Local transport within Kaustinen and to Veteli is free for folk musicians. Please show your folk musician's wristband when boarding the bus.

By bus
Transport links: By bus The festival bus stop is located at Pelimannitori, in the heart of the festival area. You can reach Kaustinen by both the festival bus and Matkahuolto's regular services. Please check the timetables for normal long-distance buses on Matkahuolto.fi and Onnibus.com. The Matkahuolto stop is located behind the Teboil service station in Kaustinen, and the Onnibus stop is located in the yard of Neste Kaustinen.
By train
By train From Kaustinen, the nearest train station is located in Kokkola (about 45 km away). Train timetables can be found on the VR website. The bus from Kokkola to Kaustinen leaves from near the railway station. The bus station is located about a block from the railway station. There is also a bus stop on the road in front of the railway station, where regular services stop.
By air
By air The nearest airport to Kaustinen is Kokkola-Pietarsaari Airport in Kruunupys. The distance from Kaustinen airport is about 35 km.
With your own car
Kaustinen is situated at the intersection of highways 13 and 63. From the centre of Kaustinen, signposts will direct you to the festival area.
Parking
There are several free parking areas for festival visitors in the vicinity of the festival, with signage directing you to the parking spaces. The parking areas are marked P1-P5, and traffic controllers will guide you to the right places. Camping is prohibited in parking areas.
