Night hike 6.7.2025

The popular musical night hike lets you get into the mood for the week ahead and explore the varied landscapes around Kaustinen with musical performances sprinkled along the way. Highlights of the night hike include Pööskallio, Isokallio, Järvelä Bridge with its rapids, Huntus and the mystical Pauanne. 

START at 20:00 from Järvelä school, address. Rantatie 51

Route 1: Järvelä school - Pööskallio - Järvelä School, length approx. 4,5 km and duration approx. 3 hours, suitable for all ages Route 2: Järvelä school - Pööskallio - Pauanne, length approx. 15 km, duration approx. 5 hours.

The starting point is Järvelä school (Rantatie 51). The shorter, whole-family route ends back at the school (around 23:00), and the longer hike ends at the Kalliopaviljonki (Club Kallio), at around 01:00. 

The hiking group of Perhonjokilaakson Retkeilijät will act as guides. First aid is available on the route. Bring your own snacks and a water bottle, there is also a possibility to bake sausages along the route. Shoes recommended: hiking shoes with sleeves or sturdy sneakers. Be prepared for pleasant cultural surprises!

Participation fee 5 €/person. Payment in cash at the place of departure (please reserve cash).

A transfer fee (when needed) of 5 €/person/way is payable to the driver.
