Kaustinen Folk Music Festival - family accommodation
Family accommodation is a tradition, that's been in use nearly ever since the festival's birth, where festival guests are to stay at locals' homes for the duration of the festival week. This type of accommodation is a warm-hearted way of getting to live with the festival and the town's community. A lot of very fond memories and friendships have been born from the visits. Share a laugh with wonderful people and enjoy breakfast listening to music and stories told by the guests while staying comfortably at someone's home - family accommodation is a festival number on its own.
In family accommodation, you will stay at a person's house and room on a bed or a mattress, or outside in their yard in your own tent or van. Kaustinen is a small municipality with limited accommodation capacity and the festival has a large number of visitors. Therefore, we need more family hosts to meet the demand. You can offer individual rooms, entire buildings, pitches for tents or caravans, or a combination of both. The host can decide whether to offer accommodation with or without breakfast.
